- swim - 500m: 12-13 minutes
- bike - 14miles: 50 minutes / 16.8 mph
- run - 5k: 23-25 minutes / 7:25-8:03 pace
Got a good running start out of the water and to transition area to get my bike. Got on my bike and my diaphragm ( so I think) started tightening up on me & it didn't calm down until I was 15+ minutes into my ride. The first 5-7 miles were brutal. I realized that I'd rather swim & run longer distances than ride longer!! It was pretty much a flat course with a few small hills here and there.
After biking I headed out for the last leg... running. I knew I wouldn't have a problem with it and I was impressed with my time. They shortened the course the day of because of the heat, but it wasn't too bad. The run did seem short, but came as a welcomed surprise:)
I finished in 1:29:44 - which was my goal time - although assuming we were running a 5k, but oh well, still a good time:) I finished 6th in my age group (out of 20) and 62 overall (out of 170+). Not too shabby!
